3. Hazards Identification
Based on the data available to us, the Products is not a dangerous substance within the
meaning of EC directive 88/379 /EEC and amendments (CHIP Regulations in UK).
It can be considered as not being toxic, harmful, irritating, corrosive or oxidizing.

4. First Aid Measures
4.1 Inhalation : Not applicable
4.2 Skin Contact : In extreme case : irritation
Wash skin with water and soap

5. Fire Fighting
- Fire Hazard :
Products is water based and in the wet form it is a low fire hazard. The dried polymer is
combustible. Decomposition Productss could be toxic.
- Extinguishing media :
Water, alcohol-resistant foam, powder, CO2. sand….all extinguishing media are suitable.
Protective clothing and self-contained breathing equipment should be available for firemen.
6. Accidental Release Measures
6.1 Personal Protection :Wear PVC-gloves and goggles to contain spills.
Avoid repeated skin contact.
6.2 Environmental precautions : Prevent the Products entering sewers and waterways.Cfr. Section 12.
6.3 Cleaning / recovery :
Large spillages : contain & pump into containers
Small spillages : absorb on sand, earth,…………Collect into containers for disposal(Cfr. Section 13)
Disposal should always comply with local, national or EC regulations.
7. Handling and Storage
7.1 Handling :
Good industrial and personal hygiene practice should be followed. No eating and drinking
in the workplace. Ensure adequate ventilation.
7.2 Storage :
Storage temperature : between +5 and +30 deg C,Protect from frost & direct sunlight
Drums and bottles : material is plastic or steel
Bulk tanks : stainless steel, aluminium, plastic coated materials….
Clean bulk tanks periodically to prevent accumulation of bacteria.
Do not store the Products longer than 6 months, without consulting the supplier.

12. Ecological Information
The Products is miscible with water and as such could cover considerable distances if
spilled into waterways. Even a small spillage will whiten the appearance of water
There is only a slow environmental breakdown of the Products, but seemingly on tendency
for bioaccumulation.
13. Disposal considerations
Do not discharge untreated waste latex directly into sewers or waterways. The polymer
content can be coagulated and disposed of in a landfill site or by incineration. Effluent
containing latex can be treated by various methods : filtration, coagulation and settling etc.
All latex disposal should comply with local, national or EC regulations.
